If you have had some sort of accident that was not your fault, then you may be able to claim some compensation. The first step is to contact an accident claim company and they will be able to see whether you have a good case. They will let you know whether they want to represent you and the rest will be left to them. You can relax while they deal with the case.
Many people worry about the cost of a solicitor but a no win, no fee company can help you out there. They will not charge you any money if they lose the case and if you win, they are likely to charge you a percentage of the compensation money. This is great, because it means that you are taking no risk at all. You know that you will be able to afford them, whether or not you win the case.
Most solicitors act on this basis. They will also tend to discuss their charges with you before they take on the case. This means that there will be no nasty surprises and you will be able to work out whether you think it is a fair deal and whether you can afford to go ahead before you start. It is a lot better than waiting until the end of the job and then wondering whether they will charge you more money than you were awarded in compensation or even worse wondering how much they will charge when you lost the case altogether.
There are a lot of solicitors that work on this basis and so it is a good idea to do some research and make sure that you find one that you like. Find one that you know will work hard for you, that has a good track record and will do everything possible to win the case.
