Being a leader does not always involve politics.

My dad always wanted us to be leaders. At an early age, he started taking us for leadership training classes where our inborn leadership skills were developed. Being a politician, he wanted my brother and I to take after him, altogether I wanted to do something else in life other than politics. I knew my brother wanted to be a politician by all means and that was perfectly okay with me. I took medicine in college while my brother took political science to take after dad. I did not know that leadership was not all about politics, but after qualifying to be a doctor and getting a job in one general hospital in the country, I was appointed to be the leading doctor in the hospital. Everyone now comes to me whenever they have issues. I should have thought about this earlier. It feels good to be a leader especially when you know you have the skills required and when the people you are leading, whether younger or older than you, are appreciating and respecting you.
